English practice questions and a worked example
Grade 12 English essay writing follows the Section A format of Paper 3: one essay on a written topic or a picture. Home Language essays are 400 to 450 words and First Additional Language essays are 250 to 300 words. The prompts here include written topics such as 'The rhythm of city life', 'A room full of mirrors' and 'Family comes first', and picture prompts where your essay must link clearly to the picture. Each prompt comes with marking notes on how the topic can be approached, so you can plan your essay before you write.
