ReClass — South Africa’s Education Platform
ReClass is a South African education platform connecting students, parents, tutors, schools and education businesses through tutoring, guided homework support, personalised learning tools and school communities.
What ReClass is today
ReClass is a South African education platform connecting students, parents, schools, tutors and education businesses in one place.
It connects the different people and organisations involved in a student’s education:
- Students looking for tutors, learning support and educational resources
- Parents and guardians looking for trusted education services
- Schools managing their communities
- Tutors offering lessons and academic support
- Education businesses supplying products and services
The goal is simple: make education services, learning support and educational commerce easier to find, access and manage.
The problem we’re solving
Education is often fragmented. A parent might find a tutor through WhatsApp, buy a textbook from Facebook Marketplace, receive a school announcement through another group and search Google for homework help.
None of those steps are connected, so nothing learned in one carries over to the next.
Learning should be connected
ReClass connects tutoring, homework help and a student’s learning record into one ReClass Learning Passport. Work a student does in Homework Assist and in a Learning Check both feed the same Learning Passport, so the next tutoring session or homework question starts from an accurate picture of where that student is, rather than starting from zero.
Tutoring, homework help, a learning record, school communities and a marketplace are built onto one platform for this reason, so evidence from one carries into the next instead of staying isolated.
Our platform
Learning
ReClass Homework Assist provides guided support when students are working through homework and difficult questions. Rather than simply providing an answer, the experience is designed to help students understand how to approach a problem, why an answer is correct and where they may be struggling.
The ReClass Learning Passport builds a per-student record of understanding across subjects and topics from that evidence. It tracks where a student is confident and where they need support over time, rather than treating each tutoring session or homework question as an isolated event.
Tutoring
ReClass helps students and parents find and connect with tutors online. Tutors can create profiles showing the subjects, grades, curriculum and services they offer, while students and parents can discover tutors based on what they need.
Whether a student needs help with Mathematics, English, Physical Sciences, Accounting, Life Sciences or another subject, ReClass is designed to make finding appropriate tutoring support easier.
School communities
Every school has its own education community. ReClass provides verified school communities where students, parents, educators and approved businesses can interact around the institution. Schools can use their community to support:
This creates a more organised alternative to relying entirely on informal WhatsApp and social media groups.
ReClass for schoolsMarketplace
ReClass brings an education marketplace together with the communities that need those products and services. Parents and students can discover educational products such as:
Education businesses can use ReClass to reach relevant education communities and offer products or services directly to them.
The marketplace also supports the reuse of educational resources, helping items such as uniforms and textbooks find another student who needs them.

Our approach
ReClass is built for South African education communities, including CAPS-aligned tutoring and learning support. Four principles guide how it’s built:
Human tutoring + technology
Real tutors teach every session on ReClass. Technology is used to help students find the right tutor and to help tutors manage bookings, materials and scheduling — not to replace the tutor.
Guided support, not answers
Homework Assist explains how to approach a problem and why an answer is correct. It does not generate a finished answer for a student to hand in without working through it.
Learning evidence
The Learning Passport is built from real evidence — Learning Checks, homework sessions and tutoring — not from a guess or a single test score.
Community-based education
Verified school communities keep the school, parents, tutors and relevant businesses around a student’s education in one place, instead of spread across separate WhatsApp groups and apps.
Our vision
ReClass is built for education communities in South Africa today. The longer-term vision is to support education communities across Africa with the same connected approach to learning, tutoring and school life.
This is a stated direction, not a description of what’s available on ReClass today.
