Community Guidelines

Version 1.0.0 · Effective: July 2026

ReClass is a school marketplace built on trust between members, sellers, donors, and schools. These Community Guidelines ("Guidelines") set out the standards of behaviour and content expected from everyone who uses the platform.

By using ReClass, you agree to follow these Guidelines, alongside our Privacy Policy and other applicable policies.

Respectful Participation

Members, sellers, donors, and school staff are expected to engage respectfully at all times.

You must not:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Use hateful, discriminatory, or inflammatory language
  • Make personal attacks against individuals or groups

Honest, Accurate Listings

Listings must accurately represent the item being sold or donated.

You must not:

  • Misrepresent an item's condition, size, or photos
  • List counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, or prohibited items
  • List an item you do not have available or intend to hand over
  • Misrepresent a donated ("free") item's condition or availability

Donation listings are a valued part of ReClass — the same honesty expected of paid listings applies to them.

Keep Payments on ReClass

All purchases must be paid for through ReClass's checkout, so buyers stay protected and sellers get paid reliably.

You must not:

  • Ask a buyer or seller to pay outside of ReClass to avoid fees
  • Submit fraudulent payment disputes or refund requests

Reporting & Moderation

If a listing looks wrong, unsafe, or dishonest, use the "Report" option on that listing. Reports are reviewed by our team, and a listing that receives multiple reports is automatically hidden from the marketplace while it is reviewed.

Misusing the reporting feature to target a seller unfairly is itself a breach of these Guidelines.

Refunds & Disputes

If an order doesn't go as expected — an item is missing, damaged, or not as described — a buyer or seller can submit a refund request from the order page. Our team reviews each request before any refund is processed, and both parties are notified of the outcome.

Seller Standards

Sellers are expected to:

  • Hand over collected items promptly and as described
  • Provide accurate banking details for payouts, and only request payouts they are entitled to
  • Respond to buyer questions and refund requests in good faith

Enforcement

ReClass reserves the right to review, moderate, and remove content that violates these Guidelines or applicable policies.

Enforcement actions may include:

  • • Removal or hiding of a listing
  • • Warnings or temporary restrictions
  • • Suspension or termination of an account
  • • Reporting unlawful activity to relevant authorities, where required

Moderation decisions are made at ReClass's discretion.

Updates to These Guidelines

These Guidelines may be updated from time to time. Continued use of ReClass following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Guidelines.
