Copyright Policy

Version 1.0.0

Overview

ReClass allows business sellers to list digital study materials — notes, guides, and similar resources — for download. Sellers may only upload content they own or have permission to distribute. This policy explains what's required of sellers, how to report infringing content, and what happens when a report is confirmed.

What Sellers Must Declare

When uploading a digital product, sellers must declare whether it's their own original work, or a compiled/derivative work — and if derivative, describe their source and the permission they have to distribute it. This declaration is reviewed alongside every submission before it goes live.

Selling digital products also requires separate approval on top of standard business seller approval, and submissions go through an automated content check as well as manual admin review before they're published.

Reporting Infringing Content

If you're the copyright owner (or an authorized agent) and believe content on ReClass infringes your rights, you can submit a copyright complaint. We'll need: a description of the copyrighted work, a description of how the listing infringes it, and confirmation that you're the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.

We review every complaint and respond by email. Confirmed complaints result in the content being removed immediately.

Consequences for Sellers

A confirmed copyright complaint results in the specific product being removed, and counts as a strike against the seller's account. Once a seller reaches a set number of confirmed strikes, their entire seller account is suspended — every one of their listings is hidden and they can no longer create new products. This repeat-infringer policy applies regardless of how many individual items were affected.

Where a buyer has already purchased content that's later confirmed infringing, we attempt to refund them as part of processing the complaint.

Retention

Removed content is retained (not deleted) for a period after takedown, in case a dispute needs to be reviewed later.
